Candle Care

TIPS TO EXTEND CANDLE LIFE

Trim the Wick

Use a wick trimmer and keep your wicks trimmed to 1/2 cm before every burn. Your candles will burn quicker with a longer wick. You may notice a "mushrooming" on your wick. This can also be prevented by regular trimming.

Allow the Wax to Pool

Burn your candles for about 2 hours or until the wax is melted all the way to the glass to avoid tunneling.

Monitor Burn Times

Never burn a candle longer than 4 hours at a time to avoid a larger flame.

Keep Clear of the Breeze

Breeze from fans, windows or open spaces cause inconsistency in the candle burn. It can cause tunnelling or black smoke and can decrease the life of the candle. Clean the black soot that form inside the jar with a damp cloth.

Keep in a Cool, Dry Place

Direct sunlight or heat sources can make them lose their scent and may result to uneven burn.

Discolouration is Normal

This is normal for pure soy candles, but don't worry as it will not impact burn performance.

Know When it is Time to Burn a New One

Once there is just 1cm left from the bottom of the jar, it is time to say goodbye. You can clean your jar using the double-boil method, re-purpose the jar or take advantage of our Recycle & Refill program.
